ReplyDeleteI make quilts for the Pediatric Infusion Therapy Unit at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital (kids chemo). I deliver them when I go to Rochester for my surgeries and follow-ups. I can't make enough for every little patient but this fabric would provide another quilt.
ReplyDeleteWith my charity projects, I just hate to run out of a key fabric so I prefer larger bundles...unless of course the fabric is being given to me. :-) I like Fabric Seeds 1/2 yd bundles in Enchant or Summerlove in sunkissed.

ReplyDeletei have quilted for over forty years. all of my quilts are hand pieced, hand quilted, and given to charity in memory of my daughter who died in my arms. i receive less than four hundred dollars monthly for disability so buying fabric is not an option. i enter contest and once in a while i win.a few bloggers send me scraps, orphan blocks, even tops that i finish and donate. right now i am out of fabric and need some. babscorbitt@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI would make a quilt for our local ER. When a child comes in to the ER they let them pick out a quilt that they get to keep. It helps clam them and gives them something they can call theirs and take with them when they go home.

I really like the giveaway fabric. These are the colors in my daughter's room and I would make a quilt, or cover some bulletin boards.
