Our group has recently received a special request by one of our members for a quilt for a little girl, Carolyn (age 4), who is very ill with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy at a local hospital. We are creating a Ballerina Quilt for her in the hopes that it will bring a little comfort to her and her family while they go through this very difficult time. 
The new database was opened on Sunday, Sept. 22nd and as of Sept. 25th, we already have 11 Ballerina squares being stitched by our members. Isn't that great? We are fortunate to have such a caring, giving group.There are already two squares finished for this quilt theme and other members are working hard on getting their stitching done so this quilt can be created in as little time as possible.
It usually takes between 6 and 8 months to complete a quilt from start to finish, but since this is a special request for a very sick little girl, we are asking members to do their best to finish their squares by Nov. 1st so the quilt can be put together quickly.
This post will be updated as squares are finished by members and the finished quilt will be posted at a later date.
