Hello Kitty

These cute little Hello Kitty squares will be made into a wonderful quilt for a little girl.

There are a few more squares being stitched by our members and when they are all mailed in, they will be sent to the quilter who will create a unique child for a child.

Our hope is that this quilt will bring comfort to a child in need of a little extra love.  There is a lot of love being stitched in each square by our members and by the quilter.

So, if you have a little time to stitch a square for one of our quilts, tote bags, walker/wheelchair bags (or even a bookmark for a child or senior citizen) you can join our group by going to our Yahoo website here.

Forest Animals Quilt Theme

The ladies of World of Charity Stitching have been working on their squares for the Forest Animal Quilt.  These are some amazing pieces.  The finished quilt will be amazing too.  The senior citizen who receives it will certainly appreciate all the work that went into the making of this quilt.

Kitten Quilt

This beautiful kitten quilt has found a new home at the Favor House (a domestic violence shelter for women and their children in Pensacola, FL).   The Favor House always appreciates our donations and I know a child (and his or her mother) will appreciate this beautiful quilt.

Thanks to all the ladies who stitched the cute little kitties and to our quilter, Kylie.  Kylie's 13-year-old niece helped choose the coordinating fabrics to match the kittens . . . great job ladies!

Perhaps this beautiful quilt will inspire some of the members of our group who haven't stitched for a quilt in a while and some of the newer members to sign up for a quilt square.  We always welcome new members who want to cross stitch, sew, or help make a quilt.

It is always a pleasure to donate these beautiful works of art to our charities.  We hope to be able to brighten the lives of the recipients with our gifts of love.

Stitch for Charity

If you enjoy cross stitching, sewing, or quilting, you might enjoy being a part of our wonderful group, World of Charity Stitching.

We currently have six open themes for quilts:  Fruits or Berries, Elvis, Forest Animals, Hello Kitty, Disney, and Teacups.

The members enjoy looking through their books and magazines to see what type of chart they would like to stitch for whichever theme they choose.  Some of the  ladies even stitch for multiple quilts.  There are many opportunities to stitch for the charities we support:  a Senior Care Facility, a Ronald McDonald House, and a domestic violence shelter.  We also donate some of our quilts to people who might be having health issues.

Here are a few of the squares that have been stitched recently:

We are also stitching holiday cards to give to the seniors at the Century Care Facility in Florida during the upcoming holiday season.
