OUR FIRST GIVE-AWAY! COME JOIN US!

We're having our very first give-away in honor of reaching over 100 'likes' on our Facebook page and we have 4 prizes to give away!  For those of you who are here for the first time, we are a Yahoo group of counted cross stitchers who donate their time, talent and supplies stitching squares for charity.  These squares are then sent to the ladies of our group who sew them into quilts, tote bags, walker bags, wheelchair bags, bookmarks and more.  Check out the photos on this blog to see the wonderful items we make.  At this moment, we are delivering these wonderful handmade items to nursing homes, a domestic violence shelter and to the Ronald McDonald House and by request to ill children and cancer patients.  Smiles and comfort are two of our goals!

The prizes have been donated by a few of our members for this give-away.  There are some great cross stitch supplies, kits, and patterns.  So hurry to the bottom of this post and enter to win.  And don't forget to become a member of our blog and Facebook page too as it counts as an extra entry.  Have fun and good luck to each of you.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EMILY AT THE FLOSS BOX

I would like to take a moment to again thank Emily at The Floss Box for allowing WOCS to use her animal patterns to make children's tote bags for our Christmas give-away.  She has been very generous and kind to WOCS and we appreciate it so much.

Please go over to her website and check out all her patterns. I love the biscornu patterns because they are quick and lovely and can be used for quilts, totes, walker bags and more.  And her patterns are priced so well.

Thank you again Emily!

WOW! LOOK AT WHAT PAM H. SENT US!

So many wonderful items were not only cross stitched but sewn by Pam H. from Oregon.  Thank you so much Pam for sending these to WOCS.  Absolutely love the cowboy boot wheelchair bag and one of the men at Century Care is going to love it as well!

ANOTHER CROSS STITCH FROM CAROLYN

Thank you Carolyn for this wonderful piece for our Toys Quilt.  You have been very busy and we thank you so much for all you do.

The ladies who stitch for WOCS are awesome!  They not only bring smiles to the faces of Century Care residents and children at RMH, but to each other as well.  It's so much fun seeing all these squares come in!

OH MY GOSH! Two more squares came in today.

Two more wonderful squares were posted today on the WOCS Yahoo Group (come visit us!).  The handsome barn owl was stitched by Peggy for the man's bird quilt and the yummy heart cupcake was stitched by Charity.  Thank you ladies.  They are perfect!

THANK YOU LADIES! YOU HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY!

Isn't this just amazing?  So many beautiful pieces for Century Care Center, the domestic violence center and Ronald McDonald House.  Not only will the adults be happy, but the children will be remembered at Christmas with these cute tote bags filled with Christmas gifts.  We would not be able to do this if it wasn't for the wonderful stitchers who support World of Charity Stitching with their talents.

Sometimes, thank you just doesn't seem enough.  Come over and join us!

A SPECIAL QUILT FOR A VERY SPECIAL LADY!

Sharon is a very special member of WOCS but is unable due to medical reasons to stitch anymore.  Sharon supports WOCS by making cards, donating supplies and keeping us smiling with her emails.  This quilt was a secret and she had no idea until Peggy and Bonnie delivered it to her yesterday.  Sharon loves dogs and cats so members stitched squares and Bonnie assembled this wonderful quilt.  You can see her beloved service dog in the top photo.  Enjoy Sharon - we all love you!

SIX NEW SENIOR TOTES AND WHEELCHAIR BAGS

We finished 4 totes and 2 wheelchair bags for the Seniors at Century Care.  The beautiful butterfly was cross stitched by Pam and she donated the fabric for the bag!  A big THANK YOU Pam.

The other cross stitch pieces were all found at the Goodwill.  All were stitched so nicely that we decided to use them.  Yes that one is a  Paula Vaughan design! Thank you goes to whomever stitched these wonderful pieces.
